I read that the name Mad Hatter actually derived from olden times when people who made hats used mercury in the process. Because mercury was toxic, it often caused insanity after long exposure. Of course, the Mad Hatter is also a character in Alice In Wonderland. Intrigued, I created a colorful character filled with flowers, fruit, and a bit of craziness.
