My mother was an antiques dealer. She used to collect porcelain plates with images of beautiful, delicate women. It's no surprise that ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to faces. I love taking photos of statues, and then creating a mixed media image, filled with emotion and gravitas. This statue provided a stony backdrop for the story I wished to tell.
