Sometimes flowers appear otherworldly to me. Dahlia’s especially. This flower seems to be one that might appear on Asteroid B-612, from the book, "The Little Prince," by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. There is an undeniable strength to this flower, coupled with an unearthly beauty. In creating this multi-layered vignette I added a misty fog to further enhance my vision of the dahlia. As the Little Prince said, “When you discover an island that belongs to nobody, it is yours.”
